I am William Alexander Armstrong, and against my better judgement, I have sworn an oath to serve the Drakkus Empire. I have given my word to serve the dreaded Imperial Intelligence, because it is the only way I can see to protect my friends.

But a plan is afoot, and I might be the only one to stop it… or to help it along. A powerful nobleman plans to overthrow the Emperor. Only, I’m the one Imperial Intelligence will send to stop him. Every instinct I have tells me that I should walk away, that the Drakkus Empire is rotten to the core and there’s no saving it.

It may not be just the lives of my friends on the line, it might be the fate of billions of people across the Drakkus Empire. It is down to me to figure out whether I should stop the coming civil war, to throw myself into the way of danger again, or to stand aside and be forsworn.

Kal’s November 2023 Update

Hey everyone! November is here, Valor’s Strike is out, and I’m hard at work on another novel! The eighth book of the Children of Valor series, Valor’s Uprising, is done and so is Forsworn Valor, the sixth book of the Forsaken Valor series.

I’m aiming for a 30 November / 1 December release for Forsworn Valor. So stay tuned, and hopefully it will be here before you know it.

I’m working on Valor’s Return, the 9th book of the Children of Valor series right now. It’s a working title (I’m not sure the name fits the plot, but we’ll see as it wraps up). If everything works out, I will have it finished and off to my beta readers by the end of the month at the latest.

In other news, I’m attending Games Workshop’s 2023 Warhammer 40k Grand Narrative Event in Atlanta this month. I’ve done up a video about the army I’m bringing to that (watch it below). It should be a good time and I certainly had a blast last year.

Jiden Armstrong faces a threat bigger than any she has ever seen before.  The Star Guard dominate human space, and they have decided to destroy the Centurions.  They plan to throw the Centurions into battle, again and again, until none are left.

The Centurions are left with a choice… to bow to the stronger forces of the Star Guard or to strike a first blow and be free. 

It falls to Jiden to make that first strike, to lead a commando raid to seize the ships needed to fight the alien Culmor Empire.  Because if she doesn’t, then her people, her planet, and their very way of life will vanish forever.

Kal’s October 2023 Update

Hey Everyone, it’s October! I’m excited for a number of reasons, not least of which is that 27 October I plan to release Valor’s Uprising, the seventh book of my Children of Valor series. That’s right, the next Children of valor book is done and will be out at the end of the month!

This will be my 40th book release, which means I’ll have released 40 books by the time I turn 40. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing, but it’s a cool milestone for me.

In other news, I have been writing busily away and I have Forsworn Valor, the 5th book of the Forsaken Valor series done, which I’ll be releasing in November.

Assuming I can keep the writing going, I’ll have more new books ready to finish out the year and start 2024. I’m also producing some content over on my YouTube channel, though that’s more on the gaming / crafting side right now. There is nothing common about valor.

That goes doubly true on the world of Drakkus Prime, where scheming noblemen and slaving pirates fight for power and wealth.

My name is William Alexander Armstrong, I am the son of murdered parents, an escaped slave, and I have hidden in the last place anyone would think to look for me: among the children of the elite at the Drakkus Imperial Military Institute. I have made allies of a renegade princess, a talking civet, a host of orphans, beggars, outcasts, and a mad artificial intelligence who happens to be my sister.

Right now, that puts me in a position to avenge my family against the Drakkus Pirates who want to kill me and my friends. Which is a good thing, too, because their shadow wars on the streets have erupted into full-scale gun battles. If no one stops them, they could engulf the Drakkus Empire in civil war and kill billions.

I might be able to act to stop them. The only problems I face are an intelligence agent determined to find out my secrets, enemies who hate my guts, and a multi-star-system plot that has just embroiled my homeworld in war on a scale not seen in generations.

For me, it is just another day.

Kal’s September update

Hey everyone.  Sorry for the long delay in posting.  I’ve been hard at work writing, working on multiple projects.  I’ve finished up Common Valor and Valor’s Uprising is nearly complete.  You can look forward to Common Valor on 29 September 2023 and I am aiming for a 27 October 2023 release for Valor’s Uprising.

I’m hard at work in the other books in both the Children of Valor series and Forsaken Valor series, and you can expect more from both in the near future.

In other news, I am about to send off a new book to a new publisher.  I can’t say too much about the project, yet, but it has been tremendously fun to write.

I’m happy to announce as well that I’ve been making a series of YouTube videos, with topics on writing, gaming, and books.  I’ll cross-post the videos here as well, and the first video will go live on Friday, September 8th.  Video is a new media format for me, so I’d love feedback on it.  Right now it is closely tied to a lot of what I do anyway, such as gaming and writing, so while it adds to my time, it is workable for me to do it in addition to writing, my day job, and all the other things I have going on.
