Kal’s June 2026 Update

Hey everyone, it’s June!

It’s a special time for me as this month will mark 20 years of service for me in the US Army. I’ll be celebrating that later this month, though I’ve still got a few more years before I can retire due to my time in the Reserve not counting fully towards an active retirement.

I’ve released the 10th Children of Valor book, Valor’s Liberation, I’ve finished my latest work in progress, and I’m now working on the third Hell Train book. It’s already been a pretty busy month.

But wait, Kal, what else could you possibly cram into the month of June, you say?

Well, I’ll be at Liberty Con near the end of the month (26-28 June), where I’ll be moderating some really cool panels like Managing Murderhobos and Worst Writing Advice, and of course I’ll be selling books in Author Alley on Sunday.

Thankfully, my wife’s ongoing cancer treatment has been going well. She’s run into a few challenges, but we’re hopeful that things will continue to progress well.

June is looking to be a busy month. Thank you to all my readers who have made the launch of Valor’s Liberation so successful. And please, if you’ve like the book or series, leave a review, tell your friends, and share the book. Amazon’s latest changes to how they promote books have made getting by as an independent author even harder, of late.

That’s all for now, thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful month.
